Although I spent over 37 years in secondary education, rising to Principal Teacher of Art & Design at Monifieth High School, my original training was in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design, graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 1970. 
Right from that time, despite having another profession, I was determined to maintain my interest in this subject. I have been in the silversmithing and jewellery design business ever since, albeit in a small way, now selling through the Galleria Luti, Callander and Just Art in Fochabers and by word of mouth to private clients. You will also find me, on the first Saturday of most months, manning my stall at Killearn's Country Market as well as at the occasional craft fair in Angus or in central Scotland.

I compete in the smaller market of discerning people who are looking for reasonably-priced, distinctive, unique, contemporary precious metal jewellery, including engagement and wedding rings. On a larger scale, I also produce boxes, knives and spoons as well as the occasional commissioned trophy or ecclesiastical piece. 

Originality and modernity of design, embedded in traditional techniques is key to my work and it is my 'unique selling point' that I rarely repeat a design. I also offer my skills as a designer, and am happy to accept commissions.  
I am registered with the Edinburgh Assay Office so all my work carries its hallmark. This is the customer’s guarantee of the quality of the metal supplied.
